Parade for Girls Basketball Champs
The Webb City Girls Basketball team won the state title Saturday night and came home to a street full of fans. An impromptu parade in the team's honor included silly string, fireworks and team pride.
Dozens of parents, family and friends lined Main street for more than an hour waiting for their champs to roll through town.
"It kind of makes it set in because on the way back it didn't really feel like we had won the state game but now that we've got here and we are able to celebrate and stuff it feels more like we've won," says Breanna Baker.
"This is something very special these girls on this team this is what they've been waiting for since the second grade," says Billy Baker, Breanna's father.
This is the first state championship for Webb City Girls Basketball.
