Mid-Ohio Valley- the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival fireworks display

Details: It is an annual tradition for many people in the Mid-Ohio Valley- the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival fireworks!!

The display begins at 9:30 p.m. Saturday and is scheduled to go until 10 p.m.

The chairman of the display, Dennis Blauser, said the music broadcast on 107.1 will be synchronized with the fireworks display.

The fireworks will be set off from a barge on the Ohio River just below the Williamstown Bridge.

Blauser said the bridge will be closed to pedestrians as a safety precaution during the show but it will remain open to vehicular traffic.

Blauser said this year's display should be even more exciting because it has some unique shells imported from Spain and Italy.

The fireworks are named in honor of Harry J. Robinson who is one of the founding fathers of the festival.
